My Philosophy
Stories are how we remember who we were, who we survived, and who we are still becoming.
I believe art should do more than entertain. It should stir something up. Make you laugh, ache, question yourself, call somebody, remember something you thought you buried. My work lives where truth and imagination get tangled together. Love. Memory. Spirit. Injustice. Healing. Desire. Survival. All the beautiful, complicated mess of being human.
Black stories deserve every genre. Romance and mystery. Laughter and horror. Fantasy, suspense, the supernatural, and everything in between. We deserve beauty without explanation and complexity without apology.
I write people who are flawed, tender, reckless, brave, selfish, funny, wounded, and still worth loving.
And if a story leaves you feeling seen, unsettled, inspired, or sitting there for a minute after it is over?
Good.

THE ART OF TRUTH
I create stories that refuse to look away. They live in the spaces where history collides with memory, where love wrestles with survival, where the supernatural feels more honest than denial, and where the people history overlooked finally become impossible to ignore. I move between literature, film, music, and visual art because truth isn’t confined to one medium. Some stories demand a novel. Others demand a song. Others won’t rest until they’re on screen. I don’t create to escape reality. I create to reveal it. Because art should do more than entertain. It should leave a mark.
